silk painting classes as of may – 2009
ROOMOR HAS IT . . .
ROOM IS NOW OFFERING CLASSES IN SILK PAINTING FOR THE SUMMER…
elena has been busy hand painting silk scarves and sarongs and, due to an overwhelming interest, is now offering one day – one hour classes in silk painting. the fabric paints are french silk paints that react to the sun, so classes will be on a weather permitting basis –
check the forecast, sunny days only!
two different classes are now being offered. in one class, we will paint a smaller silk scarf. this class can accommodate up to 4 people comfortably. if you are a group of friends that want to take the class together, we might be able to squeeze in up to 6 people. the second class will focus on a larger silk scarf that can be a sarong or shawl. this class can only accommodate up to two people comfortably.
as of 2010, silk painting classes have been discontinued.

this has been such a wonderful process of starting up my own small business, a real dream come true, my very own room. i want to thank everyone who has supported me though out this very exciting time - all of my friends, family and neighbors and my new friends in the business community, but most importantly, my customers. without you, i got no room.
please join me in a toast to celebrate my grand opening and welcome my fabulously talented friend and artist buel ecker of long valley, new jersey, who will have her work prominently featured from june through july and possibly beyond. zen-like, buel’s work varies from the spontaneous and bold to the tranquil and introspective. she is an award winning artist and has exhibited throughout the united states and abroad as well. this year she has had two solo shows: hedley room at park avenue club and at the block gallery in montclair, nj.
