ROOM opened in June of 2008 as a cool little store for unique home decor and gifts, featuring the fiber art of owner and artitst elena stokes. ROOM the decor store is now closing but will remain a studio and gallery for fiber art. at this time all home decor and gifts are drastically reduced - now 50% to 60% off the entire stock! Lighting, lamps, furniture and accessories – all must go. click on home decor above to see what’s left. hurry in, it’s going fast! there’s not much left but what’s here is ‘churce’.
in 2010, ROOM will become the art studio and gallery of elena stokes whose work includes fiber, textiles and quilted art. along with her art quilts, she creates hand dyed and painted silk scarves, jewelry, sculpture and cards, all from fabric and fiber. With the focus on fiber, ROOM will also feature other fiber artists as well as fine art paintings, pottery and sculpture. it’s very exciting stuff. please stop by when ROOM is completely transformed! ROOM will close briefly in mid january so stay tuned to this site for details on the closing of ROOM and the reopening of FOCUS ON FIBER ART @ ROOM. happy new year and see you in 2010!
ROOM is located on bridge street in frenchtown, new jersey, right on the scenic delaware river. centrally situated, frenchtown lies just up river from new hope and lambertville, a few minutes west of flemington, south of historic clinton and just across the delaware from beautiful bucks county, pennsylvania.
