ROOM is a cool little studio/store on bridge street in frenchtown, new jersey, located on the scenic delaware river. centrally situated, frenchtown is just minutes up river from new hope and lambertville to the south, flemington is off to the east, historic clinton up to the north and beautiful bucks county pa to the west.
as store ROOM offers a wonderful collection of rare finds in a surprising mix of old and new. find truly unique furnishings, exquisite lamps and lighting, great gifts and accessories for the home include luxurious soaps and candles, handmade lavender sachets and eye pillows as well as eco-friendly designer bags and shoppers.
ROOM is also the studio of owner and resident artist elena stokes, whose original textile art grace the walls with her distinct vision. find her inside sewing or outside painting on silk. silk scarves, shawls and pareos in a variety of silks are all hand painted or dyed by elena. as a nod to ‘the gates’ by cristo and jean-claude, an art installation along the stone path that leads back to ROOM creatively displays her silks.
